World Peace Petition
Please sign and thank you – petition
The world is horrified by the war in Ukraine, and it’s potential escalation.
People are terrified at the threat of global holocaust.
No public debate on how to achieve peace.
Join our call for peace. Demand peaceful solutions.
It is possible. It is achievable.
Sign our petition and call for a political debate.
Humanity has learnt the lessons from previous devastating world wars.
International laws can be formulated to counter the 21st century’s wars.
Peace is achievable by non violent policies written in international law, such as:-
Enforce a ban on annexation or invasion, or threatening nuclear war;
Total economic, cultural and social exclusion of aggressors except for food and humanitarian relief;
War reparations and individuals arrested for war crimes by a world police;
No arms supplied to those that breach grievous human rights;
No government should inhibit the capacity of an individual to opt out of war;
All governments to stand together to create financial transparency; and,or
Disarmament.
We want you to join our petition to demand peaceful solutions from the actors in the international community. They portray themselves to be our representatives, yet do not offer solutions or action to achieve sustainable peace to defend and protect us. Whilst we all want love, friendship and peace. For the sake of all our humanity, let us show the warmongers of the world the universal principles of love and peace, by uniting in peace. To define what we represent, who we are, and will be, for ever more.
Actions
We ask you to act by signing the petition and joining us, as a fundamental step to achieving peace.
We hope you will send an email or letter to your representative, or to religious or moral leaders asking them to put forward practical proposals for peace.
You could write to a religious, faith or moral leader such as Pope Francis, Dalai Lama, Archbishop of Canterbury, Archbishop of Constantinople, the Humanists, Nobel Peace Prize winners asking them to set out practical ways to achieve peace and stop inhumane wars. You could write to world leaders such as Presidents Putin, Biden or Xi Jinping, asking them what their plan for lasting peace is and what practical policies in international law they will put in place to achieve it.
Our spiritual, religious and moral leaders should each provide a statement of the highest moral obligation to humanity and the world, and suggest complementary practical policies. It must be possible for each religion and faith to declare an agreed statement for itself and with others. Thereby, creating a unified set of humanitarian principles and action, beyond just meditation and prayer. For without action there is no true faith in humanity, God and goodness.
We ask the moral, spiritual, and religious leaders to provide us with clear and unambiguous guidance, as well as, to our political leaders. What do they really believe in? With peace we find love and joy, what’s the harm in that? If this is not the time to act, then we fear that it will never be, and the world’s fate will be mutually assured destruction. We should be not afraid of dying, but afraid of living without anything to die for. We need leaders in love with humanity and not power.
